Booking, fees and how it works

Do I need a referral to see a dietitian?

No referral is needed. Book directly on WhatsApp or through the booking page. Referrals from your GP or specialist are welcome too.

What is the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

In Pakistan, a dietitian is trained in clinical (medical) nutrition and manages diets for conditions like diabetes, kidney disease and PCOS. "Nutritionist" is a broader term. Sadaf Sajid is a consultant dietitian with an M.Phil and MSc in nutrition and hospital experience. Read the full explanation.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring recent lab reports (from the last 3–6 months), a list of medicines and supplements, any doctor's notes, and if possible a 3-day record of what you normally eat and drink.

How long is the first consultation?

Usually 45–60 minutes. It covers your history, lab review, goal setting and the framework of your personalised plan.

How soon will I see results?

Most clients notice better energy and digestion within 2–3 weeks. Changes in weight or lab markers usually appear within 4–12 weeks, depending on the condition and how closely the plan is followed. We set realistic targets together.

Will I have to give up desi food?

No. Plans are designed around Pakistani food. You can still eat roti, daal, salan and occasional biryani, with smarter portions, pairings and timing.

Are online consultations as effective?

For most conditions, yes. You get the same assessment, plan and follow-ups on WhatsApp Video or Zoom. In-clinic visits are useful when body composition measurements are needed.

What is the SWIPE circadian nutrition programme?

SWIPE is Sadaf's signature programme. It aligns your eating window and meal timing with your body clock to support blood sugar, hormones, digestion and sleep. Learn about SWIPE.

Do you prescribe medicines or supplements?

Dietitians do not prescribe medicines. Sadaf may suggest evidence-based supplements such as vitamin D or iron when your labs show a need, and will coordinate with your doctor.

Is my health information kept private?

Yes. Your records are confidential and are never shared without your permission. See our privacy policy.

Can I bring a family member?

Yes. Family involvement often helps, especially when one person cooks for the household.

What are your clinic hours?

Monday to Friday, 4:00–7:00 pm, at Office #4, Professional Arcade, MPCHS, E-11/3, Islamabad. Closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

Aksar log 2–3 hafton mein energy aur hazme mein behtari mehsoos karte hain. Wazan ya lab reports mein farq 4–12 hafton mein nazar aata hai.

Kya dietitian dawai deti hain?

Nahi, dietitian dawai nahi likhti. Zaroorat ho to vitamin D ya iron jaise supplements ka mashwara doctor ke saath mil kar diya jata hai.
